The 2019 exhibition was another great success with sixteen layouts attending. There were
thirteen diverse scale/gauge combinations on show including those in 16mm scale, 0, 0-16.5, 0-14, P4, 00, 00-9,
P87n3.5, H0, 3mm/ft finescale, British N, 2mm/ft finescale and Continental N. Once again something for everyone!
Layouts traveled from as far away as the Netherlands, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Cambridgeshire,
Devon, Gloucestershire, Hertfordshire, Kent, Leicestershire, Norfolk, Somerset, Suffolk and West Sussex portraying British,
Australian, American and Dutch standard and narrow gauge prototypes.
Sixteen members of the trade, including specialist manufacturers, had a presence at the show. This year we welcomed
two traders new to the show, Narrow Planet and Severn Models. Unfortunately Plus Daughters could only be with us for the Saturday. Their
space was ably filled on the Sunday by a stand from Paul Heafield and an expanded Squires Model & Craft Tools stand. There was a
display by the model engineers from the Bentley Miniature Railway as well as popular demonstration stands manned by guests Roger Sawyer
(soldering) and Cat Dickerson (figure painting).
The show was very successful, with many comments being received as to the high quality of
the exhibits, the variety of trade goods on offer and the general friendliness of those taking part.

Throughout the weekend the visiting public was asked what layout they thought was the "Best in Show". The
3.5mm/ft scale 12.26mm gauge (P87n3.5) narrow gauge Dutch layout De Graafstroom constructed by Vincent de Bode, Peter van der
Kooij and Claude Moinier picked up the most votes and they were presented with a special plaque for mounting on the layout. Blueball
Summit by Andrew Bartlett was placed second with Fen End Pit by David Barham placed third.
De Graafstroom was also awarded the
Keith Nock Memorial Trophy for the best layout in show as voted by exhibitors, trade and members.
